January 15

This morning the kids did some finger painting to kick off our day!  It is washable if you notice some remnants on their clothes!

We watched this clip on Martin Luther King, Jr.  The kids thought of two facts they have learned about Dr. King.  They wrote their first sentence today and we will finish up our nonfiction writing tomorrow.

In math we talked about drawing a picture to help add.  They worked to illustrate an addition book and drew red and green apples to match a number sentence.

We read David's Drawing and worked on identifying the setting and predicting.  The kids were introduced to the words spontaneously, contribute, and agreed.
