Today we read Snowmen at Christmas and acted out how to build a snowman. We acted at how to build a snowman and then the kids drew pictures to show what you do first, next, and last. See if your kiddo can act it out and tell you the sequence. They will be writing sentences to match their pictures for this quarter's writing assessment.
They are busy making Santa Claus books during reading. The books allow them to move a picture of Santa using positional words in the text.
To wrap up our day we had a fun introduction to addition! They rolled two number cubes and added the dots together, the total told them which part of a train picture to color!
We also enjoyed an extended recess! I think the kids were very happy with that decision!
