October 23

WHEW...it was FREEZING at recess this morning!!  Time to break out those warm coats, mittens, and hats!

 Today we welcomed our new friend Nathan!!  He joined right in the football fun.  The kids did a great job making him feel like part of the crew.

We also read another bat book cleverly titled Bats!  The kids thought of the coolest bat fact they had learned and flew little bats (that looked just like them!) around the room to share out with their friends.  Then we sat down to write down our bat facts. 

During reading groups the kids worked very hard on their nocturnal animal reports and puppets.

Tomorrow is our field trip!!  Don't forget to put your kiddo in their light blue Sunflower t-shirt!  They will need a sack lunch with their name written on the outside.  If you are joining us you will need one as well!  Please be sure to pack a disposable, non-breakable, drink.
