We are using David Shannon's No David books as our mentor texts for writing. The kids are paying close attention to writing their names only using an uppercase letter for their first letter. Today we looked at how the author used pictures, in addition to words, to help tell the story. The kids then did a self portrait and added details to tell about the things they like to do. These will be letters to our 4th grade buddies.
We reviewed rhyming and opposites in our reading of You and Me. We practiced our fancy words too!
In math we sorted our 3D shapes and played a quick game of four corners using 4 corners using 3D shapes.
