December 4

This morning we read The Biggest Snowman Ever.  We acted out how to build a snowman using our sequencing words.  We came up with;
First, roll the balls.
Then, stack them up.
Last, decorate him.

We learned the word "where" and practiced changing beginning and ending sounds to create new words.  We reread Winter Lullaby.  We talked about the details in the pictures that helped us understand the story.  We did the actions for our vocabulary words: creeps, arrives, and nestle.

The kids visited the book fair during library.  They have wish lists in their folders.  Don't forget that tonight is the book fair open house.  Tomorrow is tie dye day!!

We built very hungry caterpillars and chose a fruit to put on it. We will finish this writing project tomorrow.

In math we took another mad minute test.  We then talked about the differences between 2D and 3D shapes.  We put two semi-circles together to make a circle.  Then we used a semi-circle to form a 3D shape, a cone!

It has been brought to my attention that the homework asked the kids to recall information from Bear Snores On.  We will read that story tomorrow!  Sorry for the confusion!
