This morning we started writing our "I like to" sentences to match the pictures I took during home visits! The kids were really excited to see their pictures and tell their friends their favorite things to do! We are really working on starting our sentences with a capital letter and having the rest be lowercase. We are also trying to remember that spaces go between words not in between letters in a word. Whew! That is a tough skill! AND...they have to remember to put a period, at the end of a sentence and not every line. They are doing remarkably well with all there is to remember! We have also been practicing these skills every Thursday during small group reading time.
We reread Jessica and put our story retelling cards in order to show the beginning, middle, and ending of the story. We reviewed our fancy words as well as the author, illustrator, characters, and setting.
In math we practiced writing our numbers and then took our BIG test! I am just about to look over them...I bet they did great!
Have a wonderful, crisp, afternoon!
