Whew!! Today was fast and furious! We started our day with Mrs. Gabriel teaching us about fire safety. In your child's folder you will see their unfinished project, feel free to discuss it and finish it at home.
The reason that they didn't finish was because we had a surprise assembly! We learned all about our EFG District fundraiser. If you have any questions please let me know. The gist of it is, the kids collect $10 for each card they sell. Then they return the envelope on Monday and Friday for prizes. I completely understand that we just finished selling cookie dough and we have the auction basket to focus on. If you want to sell the card, great. If you are done with fundraising, NO BIG THING ;)! Thank you for all that you do for Sunflower!
We went out for a quick, cold recess! Please make sure kids are practicing bundling themselves up for the weather. It is difficult to get our full recess in if we are struggling with zippers, mittens, and hats!
Friday MaNIa was a huge success. They had fun reading, writing in shaving cream, swatting sight words, spelling sight words while jumping on a trampoline, and making words with play-doh.
Jackson and his mom made us a special us a special treat, bat cookies! They were SO yummy! We also watched a really cool movie about bats, check it out here.
