October 2

Today we did the very last page in our alpahbet books!  The first ten minutes of our day will now be spent in the CENTER ROOM!!  Shh, don't tell the kids!

Today the kids helped me write a sentence about the book Pumpkin, Pumpkin, "Jamie grew a pumpkin."  We learned a song about when you write a sentence you start it with a capital, end it with a period, and use spaces too!

We reread The Little School Bus.  The kids have been locating our sight words in the text and noticing rhyming words!  We also reviewed our fancy vocabulary words; sly, proceed, and apparel.

In math we continued practicing writing numbers 0-10.  The kids played a partner game to help reinforce this skill.  One player rolled a 0-9 dice and told their partner to write the number on a white board.  They had a great time being the teachers!  In your child's folder you will see some practice that we have done in class.  I also have given you a packet to help your child form each number corretly.  This is not homework just a little extra practice for our big assessment coming up!

I have all of our conference times set up!  Look for your appointment in the students' folders tomorrow!
