Kindergarten Family Picnic

The Kindergarteners have been working hard on our ALL ABOUT ME unit.  As part of learning about ourselves, we will spend time exploring families and friends, how we are alike and how we are different, and how important each one of us is!  To wrap up our studies, Kindergarten is having a “Heritage Picnic.”
Mom, Dad, Little Brother and Sister, Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa, Special Friend, and Neighbor, you are invited to join us on this day!  We’d like this Kindergarten Picnic to be a celebration of family traditions and native cultures!  This will give all Kindergarteners an opportunity to share their culture and traditions with others.
Each family is asked to send a food dish that will serve about 12 people.  This can be something special your family eats at holidays, a special family dish Grandma makes, a dish that represents your family’s heritage, or a favorite family snack.  Just so you can plan accordingly, we aren’t able to heat anything.  We’re looking forward to sharing many cultures and family traditions.
The picnic will be on Friday, September 28.  AM-Kindergarten will be picnicing from 10:30-11:20am.  Families are welcome to join us at this time. You can send your dish with your Kindergartener or bring it along with you when you come.
