We had a great day back to school!
Make sure that you take a look at the back of your student's red homework folder. We introduced the /th/ sound which can be pretty tricky! We are also going to be focusing in on details that authors add to their stories and trying to incorporate it into our own writing. We will also be using graphic organizers to help us understand what we are reading.
In math we tried our very first blended learning lesson! This is a way for kids to work at their own level and at their own pace. The students watched this video to help them learn about unknown partners. If you notice your child having trouble on their homework you could have them watch it again (or if you want to know more about math mountains you could check it out too!).
Mrs. Preston would like me to remind you that she needs all "Chat-n-Chew" slips returned by tomorrow.
Don't forget that tomorrow is cookie dough pick-up day beginning at 3:30p and our FREE taco dinner night starts at 5:00p!!
This Friday is first grade's movie night! We will be watching Hotel Transylvania and the students can wear their costumes! For safety reasons we are requesting that masks be left at home.
