This morning we learned about doctors.  The kids were excited to put together their doctor bags filled with tools that a doctor might need.
We read Pet Show! by Ezra Jack Keats and reviewed the sight words want, out, who, they, and are.  We also learned some vocabulary words; mingle, confer, and compliment.
They enjoyed their time in Kinder City and I saw many sets of beautiful nails!!!
In math we continued to practice subtraction as a group.  Tomorrow they will show me all they have learned as they practice on their own!
I have a couple of announcements:
1.  On March 7th Tim McDermed, Keeley's dad, will tell us about his job as an Army helicopter pilot!  After school we are planning a trip to his work for lunch and a tour!  I am so excited about this!  We will be meeting at 12:30, bring a sack lunch and we will eat as a group first thing!  After we eat Tim will show us around a bit and then we will head home!  Please email me and let me know if you are planning to attend.  The address is: 221 Gardner Drive, New Century KS.
2. Mrs. VanRheen wanted to let you know: Friday is our last day for Jump Rope for Heart...a special PE party is planned for those students who have collected $5 or more! (that gets them to the first prize, a duck...$15 will get them a jump rope ordered that they get to keep!)
3.  Our school carnival is on Friday, April 25th!  I need to fill our booth with volunteers!  Please check out the SignUp Genius to help out: www.SignUpGenius.com/go/4090945ADAF2FA57-sunflower.  Thanks!!
