This morning we finished up our goals for 2014! The kids drew self-portraits and made a party hat for their picture. Soon they will be on display in our hallway gallery!
We concentrated on the setting while we read Chugga-chugga Choo-choo. There were so many cool details to look at in the illustrations to help give us clues. By the end they were requesting to read it again! Our new sight words are one and see.
In math we focused on making ten. The kids played a partner game to see who could make exactly ten first. It was neat to hear their conversations, "I have 6, I need to roll a 4!"
