Today our schedule was a bit off since we did not have our special.  We had a relaxed morning of hanging in our room! 

The kids practiced writing their numbers from 1-5 as they came in.  After morning meeting we read a silly book called Fall Mixed Up.  They really enjoyed it!  We shared all of the fun things we like to do in the Fall with our partners.  Then they wrote a sentence telling their favorite thing to do in the Fall and illustrated it. 

We have been practicing our letters for the last 33 days!  To celebrate that we made some really neat artwork that let us practice writing each uppercase letter.

To end our day we played a word game that had us saying each sound in a c-v-c word and touching our head, shoulders, then waist to represent the beginning, middle, and ending sounds.  We also talked again about the beginning, middle, and end of The Little School Bus.  Then we slyly slipped out our recess door to surprise our parents!
