Today we started using whole brain teaching.  The kids thought it was a lot of fun.  It is a program that enables all students to be actively engaged at all times.  Their favorite part was dancing, gesturing, and singing our letter sounds to "Who Let the Dogs Out."

We wrote our names and tomorrow we will draw our self-portraits.  We have been working on our "frog jump" letters in handwriting.  So far we have learned how to make F, E, D, and P.

Cooper did a great job using his speaker voice to present his WILD self!  We learned that he really doesn't like canned peas!

We worked on retelling the story Something Special.  The kids did an excellent job "teaching" each other how to retell.

In math we reviewed our 3D shapes; cone, sphere, cube, and cylinder.  Then we played a game where we danced around, matched our shape, and named the shape.

  1. "who let the B's out... /b/ /b/ /b/ /b/ /b/ is the song being sung in our house now! Too funny, and a great way for them to remember sounds!!!
