This morning our #7 balloon said that we didn't have to wear shoes today!! We had lots of bare piggies running around the room!
We practiced comparing and contrasting the kids to Mrs. Weishaar. They came up with, we are both humans, mammals, nice, and have faces (thank goodness!). We are different because I am a teacher and they are kids, I am a teacher and they are students. Then we read Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs. It is an awesome new book from Mo Willems, definitely check it out! The kids did their compare and contrast assessment between this book and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They ROCKED it!!
We strapped our shoes back on and headed out to recess to enjoy this beautiful day. When we came in we had 10 minutes before specials so we decided to pop by the center room for some kindergarten fun!
Our performance practice today was awesome! We did almost the whole show in just 30 minutes!
The kids were excited to celebrate Avry's un-birthday today. She shared yummy chocolate pudding dirt cups with us! Mmm-mm!
Tomorrow is quarter day for "Coins for a Cure." Don't forget that your child can bring in .50 to go towards purchasing a class luminary. If you would like to do this please make sure that the money is separate from the coins the are donating (ziploc, envelope, taped to the note that went home, etc.).
